Ink N' Out Temporary Tattoos
Ink N’ Out Tattoos began as a small spark during a big pause. In 2021, Dontello Rolle found himself stuck at home during the pandemic and decided to get a permanent tattoo — only to realize too late that forever was longer than he bargained for. Instead of letting regret weigh him down, he laughed, shrugged, and asked himself a simple question: “What if there was a way to enjoy tattoos without the commitment?” That curiosity led him to temporary tattoos. At first, they seemed fake and unimpressive, but instead of tossing them aside, Dontello saw potential. Through trial and error, late nights, and countless experiments, he figured out how to make temporary tattoos vibrant, realistic, and long-lasting — a safe, risk-free way for people to express themselves. In 2023, Dontello met Kes Higgs, a creative powerhouse with a background in cosmetics, beauty, and digital design. Kes immediately saw the potential to take Ink N’ Out to the next level. Her beauty expertise added realism and longevity to the tattoos, while her digital and design skills helped automate production and expand design options. Together, they were unstoppable: art, science, and strategy fused into a product and experience people couldn’t get enough of. From pop-ups at University of The Bahamas’ Homecoming Week, Fusion Superplex holiday markets, and Geeked Out Comic Convention, to private parties and backyard setups, the duo experimented with every setting imaginable — from beaches (not the best idea) to old skate parks in the middle of nowhere. Every attempt taught them something new: about the product, the audience, and themselves. They also discovered a bigger mission — supporting local Bahamian artists. Many talented creatives had no platform to showcase or profit from their work. Ink N’ Out became a bridge, allowing artists to contribute designs, earn income, and celebrate Bahamian culture through wearable art. Ink N’ Out isn’t just a business — it’s a movement for creativity, expression, and connection. From a pandemic pastime to a thriving brand, our journey proves one thing: with creativity, resilience, and a little ink-spiration, regret can turn into opportunity, and a simple idea can turn into something unforgettable.
